HL7 goes with RM-ODP

Last year the HL7 Architecture Review Board instigated the development of an architectural approach and framework for the development and use of HL7 standards from a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) perspective.

MacWorld have highlighted a new E-health application for smart phones (in particular, the iPhone) in a recent blog post.

Recent developments in E-Health in the USA, Australia and many other countries have revealed a need to better understand information privacy issues, both from legal and from technical perspectives.

The Standard has published an article reporting various research and commercial efforts to use mobile phones for both organising health consultations (e.g. referrals) and collection of data.
